A mid-early, original variety suitable for direct consumption, processing markets and long-term storage (by the end of June). Almost all onions start to flop over at the same time which is a distinguishing feature of this variety. A variety is characterized by very high yield stability regardless of climatic conditions. Octavia produces medium-large onions, averaging 100-130 g. All onions are very similar to each other in size and shape (excellent uniformity). White colored flesh is relatively firm. May be sown in fall (second half of September)
