Rose-trees at stake

Rose-trees at stake

Rose-trees at stake are not a separate group of varieties. These are precious varieties of shrubs derived in the form of small tree. They are obtained by grafting of varieties from a different groups on a specially derived vertically shoots. Refinement procedure can be performed at different heights of the stem, but usually at a height of 90 - 120 cm. Varieties of miniature roses and poor growing ground cover, designed for growing and display in containers are refined at height of about 60 cm. Tree-roses with shaped crown should be tied to a strong and aesthetic stake. Stock we are holding in at least two places, one of which should be in the vicinity of refinement procedure place, this will protect the crown, won't let to break it down. Otherwise, without tying up stakes rose may break under the weight of a thriving crown. Flowering rose-trees look beautiful. Avenues with these roses make an unforgettable impression. Due to the small dimensions of rose-trees can be planted even in the smallest garden. They are the most beautiful element in rose gardens.

No rose, by its nature does not grow in the form of a tree. So-called rose trees are more or less high roses, which consist of two plants: roots growing from their wild rose species forming a long stem and instiled at its top precious variety - they can be both varieties of climbing or multiflorous, which form an attractive flowering crown. The crown is attractive only when harmonize with the height of the trunk and when it's well developed.

Tree forms of roses are especially exposed to the frost, because the graft place is not cover by the soil. Therefore, you should choose cold-resistant varieties with lush flowering, the best are national varieties resistant to Polish winter conditions. All other varieties must be protected from frost by jute bags, paper or straw or by or bending the trunk and piting the graft in the soil. This way of protecting is not very recommended because of the possibility of fracture the plant.
